I guess this dress is not the same. Too bad!

Mine had a polka dot collar. So close. However, does it make you wonder if the white collar had worn out, and Mother found a way to replace it with polka dots? This photo is one of the best.

No, she couldn't have done that. Mine had a "waist" and the others didn't. What a treat. A new dress!

Not only did Ann have a new dress, but she had curls.....

And can you imagine the fight Mother had to get those curls? You are right, once upon a time I did have curls.

Don't make too much of it, Judy. You had far more curls than Ann, Louise, and I had. Louise's hair would have been in style today, and Ann and I coped with pigtails. I well remember Judy's blonde curls. So there.
Mother was very handy at remodeling clothes. The polka-dotted dress got remodeled and handed down - certainly when I wore it, it had been remade to fit a smaller person, then Judy, and perhaps used to make a new dress for Ann? Just wondered.

So glad I didn't have to worry about curls, pigtails, waists, dresses. Mystery: is Ann's dress in the iris a remodel job with a new collar? We need to know. And how about Mother's durable polka dot dress? How many years did she wear that? Sorry if I've reposted some pictures here but we need to figure this stuff out.

The day we began to go to Sunday School in the old beet truck, and by the time Mother got it to the top of the hill, she felt uneasy enough about it's performance to come back home. Too bad we didn't get Dwight in these pictures. They are such gems!
